Vergenoegd Löw Boutique Hotel & Spa

Vergenoegd Löw Wine Estate is one of South Africa’s oldest working wine farms, positioned between the Helderberg Mountains and False Bay, offering a peaceful base from which to explore the Western Cape. The property features 15 bespoke rooms, suites and cottages, including a Presidential Suite, positioned across three distinct areas of the estate. Surrounded by vineyards and landscaped gardens, each accommodation option is designed for privacy and includes either a private hot tub or a heated plunge pool. Geuwels, located within the historic cellar, is the estate’s wine-led restaurant and tasting venue. Here, guests can enjoy guided tastings of award-winning Vergenoegd Löw wines alongside relaxed, seasonal dining under the direction of Chef Michelle Theron. The 1773 Homestead is reserved exclusively for in-house guests and forms the heart of the residential experience. It houses breakfast, lunch and dinner service, the Homestead Farm Tea, and the hotel bar, offering a more intimate and refined setting. As a working regenerative farm, the estate is home to its well-known Indian Runner ducks, Dexter cattle, Merino sheep and free-ranging chickens, all forming part of an integrated agricultural system. Guests can witness the daily duck run past the Homestead, explore guided ecology experiences and vineyard walking routes, or unwind in the spa and sauna. A dedicated cardio centre is also available. Wedding, function and conference facilities are available on the estate.


Abelana Game Reserve

Abelana Game Reserve spans 15,000ha (36,000 acre) and is set in the Limpopo Province, close to the renowned Kruger National Park in South Africa’s beautiful Lowveld – the country’s prime big game region.

“Abelana” means to “share amongst each other” in North Sotho.

This Big Five private game reserve, in association with the Mashishimale Community who own the land, offers an authentic safari experience with a sensitive ecological touch. Accommodation includes two luxury lodges, the Abelana River Lodge, which provides approximately 2 kilometers of river frontage and spectacular views over the Selati River, while the Abelana Safari Camp, with its elevated position amid spectacular granite outcrops, features a viewing deck overlooking a large watering hole, perfect for experiencing the peace and tranquillity of the African wilderness.


Rosenhof Country House

Situated on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn in the beautiful Klein Karoo, this five-star homestead (circa 1852) has been carefully renovated, maintaining the yellowwood beams and elegant antique furniture. The rose garden, which gave Rosenhof its name, leads to 12 individually furnished bedrooms. The two Executive Suites and Bird’s Cottage are more privately situated, each with their own outdoor terrace and pool. A luxurious range of spa treatments and massages can be experienced at The Bliss Spa while traditional home-cooked Karoo cuisine can be enjoyed in a variety of stunning locations across this idyllic retreat.


Hog Hollow Country Lodge

Situated on the edge of indigenous forest, east of the coastal town of Plettenberg Bay, Hog Hollow Country Lodge overlooks the Matjies River Gorge and Tsitsikamma Mountains. The sixteen suites are situated in the gardens surrounding the main lodge. Each suite features en-suite bathroom, air-con, wi-fi and a wooden deck with glorious mountain and forest views. Enjoy a delectable farmhouse breakfast and in the evenings enjoy dinner either in the comfort of the main lodge, or out on the boma deck next to the crackling fire.
